Microgreens return this week as we welcome fresh cantaloupe, donut peaches, yellow plums, and a new bread from our baker! Pain de Campagne features rye and spelt flours as well as sourdough flavour. This will also be the last week for corn and nectarines so be sure to stock up. Beet bunches make an appearance as we hit the height of tomato, pepper, and eggplant season. Beautiful purples, pinks and reds on the slicers and lots of orange in the cherries right now. We're also excited to offer you sweet and tasty cippolini onions, which are stellar roasted in your best balsamic.
Be sure to snag a few of our specialty orange Turkish eggplants before we sell out! You can quarter and roast them, and their slight bitterness works really well in a salad of thinly sliced red onion, arugula and white peaches dressed with a red wine vinaigrette.
We are taking a break from outdoor lettuce production until the heat passes, but we'll have plenty of micros, pea shoots, and greenhouse arugula to tide you over until September when the weather begins to cool.
