Farm Happenings for September 8, 2020

Posted on September 6th, 2020 by Sarah Brown

Here comes the heat!

We're doing the water valve shuffle over here, while also beginning the hauling season this week. Winter squash are being cut and readied for tractor transport. The first couple hundred of over two thousand pounds will find its way into crates tomorrow. Onions have been racked and are curing nicely in the barn, and the sweet corn is begging to be picked! It's the week for this bi-color super sweet variety called "Allure", and we are feeling the pull. It's sooo good. We'll have more this Saturday at market as well, so if you don't get your full fix, please come on by and see us over the weekend. Other limited notables this week are melons (watermelon and Haogen dessert melon) as well as (mini)bulk options for sweet onions, potatoes, and tomatoes. You are always welcome to reach out if there is something else on your mind for canning/pickling/preserving.

We're here to feed you as much as possible, and we take the job seriously! :)

With Gratitude;

Conner + Sarah
