Farm Happenings 4/12/21: Update from Hall Brook Farm

Spring is in the air! Our farmers are well underway preparing for the upcoming growing season. Remember the boxes that you open and the dreamy smell of fresh herbs pour out, the juicy strawberry and peaches you bite into, the luscious greens abounding out of the boxes? Well, they'll be here soon, if you haven't already signed up for Main Season Farm Boxes that start in June you can do that here, we don't want you to miss out on the upcoming summer bounty!

We have all the ingredients for delicious and nutritious miso soup - miso, tofu, mushrooms, and seaweed soup mix - ALL LOCAL - can't beat that!

Update from Hall Brook Farm

Things are quite busy at Hall Brook Farm. We are busy planting cucumbers, tomatoes and kale in three of our greenhouses while we pick spinach out of our other two. The warm weather and drying winds will have us in the fields in no time. We are very excited for the 2021 growing season and all it holds!

We are a collection of small Maine farmers who believe that we are stronger and more resilient working together to provide our communities with local organic food. We are passionate about growing a vibrant Maine food economy and getting more local food onto Maine families tables.

Our farms are located in the rich agricultural landscape of Waldo and Kennebec counties, all offering our unique contributions to Daybreak’s Farm Box Subscription to create a well balanced and nutritious array in your families farm box each week. All our vegetables are from farms Certified Organic by MOFGA, and we offer a variety of Local and Organic options for Meat, Fruit, Dairy, Bread and Flower Add-ons. Our subscription is offered year round in two season sign up periods (Jun-Dec & Jan-May) to allow you to tailor the needs of your family to our subscription seasons and pay as you go throughout the year.
