I swear we have some of the best sunrise and sunsets here on the farm, this particular one was taken in October of 2022 and if you look close you can see the giant fall tomatoes in the back! I am ready for some sunny Spring days where the highs only get into the low 70's! We will be planting out our second crop of new potatoes this week, with hopes that the rain isn't to plentiful as it could rot the potato seed. Winds are whipping out there this morning but good news is that should dry up the fields so we can continue working dirt for Spring plantings. I hope everyone has a great Mardi Gras and Valentine's Day!

About the farm
Covey Rise Farms is located in Husser, LA just north of New Orleans in central Tangipahoa Parish and is part of the Covey Rise Sportsman's Retreat. The farm started growing vegetables on 10 acres in 2009 and has expanded to over 60 acres at present. The farm not only grows multiple varieties of over 30 types of vegetables, but in recent years has added fruit trees and flowers. Our produce is enjoyed at various types of restaurants in New Orleans and surrounding areas, from the finest restaurants to quaint neighborhood cafes and everything in between and by our local produce/CSA members.
