Green Garlic is getting very close to being ready, I am hoping we can harvest some late this week or next week and start offering it in the boxes. I am waiting to get a few more seed deliveries in and I will be sending off our spring seeds to the nursery. In the mean time we will be working ground to get ready to lay some fresh plastic for most of our spring plantings. I always get excited this time of year with the hopes that we will have a great spring and the weather will actually be nice. We still have a lil ways to go before that but it will be here soon enough. Hoping everyone has a safe and fun Mardi Gras!

About the farm
Covey Rise Farms is located in Husser, LA just north of New Orleans in central Tangipahoa Parish and is part of the Covey Rise Sportsman's Retreat. The farm started growing vegetables on 10 acres in 2009 and has expanded to over 60 acres at present. The farm not only grows multiple varieties of over 30 types of vegetables, but in recent years has added fruit trees and flowers. Our produce is enjoyed at various types of restaurants in New Orleans and surrounding areas, from the finest restaurants to quaint neighborhood cafes and everything in between and by our local produce/CSA members.
