Holy mackinaw its September, where did August go!
Cantaloupe, field tomatoes, and shepherd peppers (sweet) are some new crop available this week. It won't be long before we are talking about sweet potatoes, leeks, brussel sprouts and fall squash.
The pic is of Dan with a large melon and Jessica in the background getting set up at the Newmarket Farmers Market on Saturday morning. Dan is great at retail as he's a talker and loves to chat with folks, Jess is a longtime family friend, all of her siblings and her mom have spent time helping us out at the farm. She's becoming a jack of all trades as she does retail, works in the farm kitchen, packs shares, and has painted our farm store and signs. Not bad for just turning 16.
