Farm Happenings for April 29, 2022

Posted on April 24th, 2022 by Michael Hoke

Spring is farm improvement time for us, and one of the key projects this year is to improve our deer exclusion fence. Many deer live in our area and make it very challenging to grow crops that they like to eat, including lettuce, beets, carrots, swiss chard, and beans. As the saying goes though, good fences make good neighbours!

We're excited this week to offer more of our early spring produce: fresh dill, cilantro, red radishes, chives, choi, arugula, spring kale, as well as lots of salad mix! We also have lots available through Pfenning's this week, including imported broccoli, celery, green onions, peppers, and citrus as well as Ontario-grown tomatoes, cucumbers, mushrooms, and green garlic.

Deliveries this week will be on Friday, please look for an email on Thursday with your approximate delivery time.
