Time for grilling!

Summer Greetings!

Okay, okay... It's not technically summer, but it sure is starting to feel like it! Most of our farms are moving the start of their work days to early morning to avoid frying in the afternoon heat. For the rest of us enjoying the fruits of their labors, the weather invites us all to slooooow way down and linger over grilled dinners with family and friends. And this week's offerings include several vegetables that are fantastic on the grill if you aren't keen to turn on that stove, including broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, fennel, summer squash and zucchini. Yum!

What else should you put on that table? We are running a limited time special on Bear Hug Honey Co's infused honeys, so now is the perfect time to give them a try! These delights will make you rethink honey, and we are offering the 3 oz jars for $2 off the normal retail price...

Southern Spicy Sriracha: Sweet, smokey and spicy! Bear Hug Honey Co. infuses southern grown chilies, a dash of vinegar, and a light, sweet honey to create a spin-off of Sriracha with a Southern flavor of depth and delight. Perfect for topping off grilled salmon, pork, vegetables or peaches. Intriguing paired with fruit and sharp cheeses. I've heard that Ted's Most Best keeps this one on their tables, and customers pour it generously over their pizza for an interesting twist.

Vanilla Bean: Deep, rich, and warm in flavor, this is a very elegant honey. Bear Hug uses Organic Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Beans (the BEST Vanilla Beans in the world) to create it. Try it in tea or coffee, drizzled over strong cheeses, spicy dishes, fruits, and vanilla ice cream. Let your imagination be your limit!

For those of you with an Independent Baking Co. Bread Share... this week's loaf is:

5 Points Levain: Local Athens sourdough with an open crumb and mild flavor

Happy dining, y'all!
