It's the LAST WEEK of the Winter CSA!

Posted on February 26th, 2020 by Lisa Merva

Welcome to the final week of the Winter CSA!

On behalf of the entire Collective, I'd like to thank you for your continued support. Almost every farmer has commented how helpful it was to receive regular paychecks in January and February, when other sales opportunities are extremely limited.

We'll be back the week of April 13 with our Spring/Summer CSA. This is our most popular season, as it includes so many beloved fruits and veggies. We should have several weeks of juicy strawberries, plump blueberries, tasty okra and of course... tomatoes! Here are some more details for you:

1. Signup for this season should be available by the end of the week.

2. For your convenience, I will be offering auto-renewal for Winter CSA members into this next season. If you like your share size and pickup time/location, and would like to keep receiving weekly orders of local deliciousness, you are a good candidate for auto-renewal. I will send a few reminders out before I hit the auto-renew button on March 30th. To check to see if your account is set to auto-renew, please log in and select "My Profile" and then "Auto-renew Settings." Then you will be able to opt in or out of auto-renewal.

3. You do not have to auto-renew to sign up for the Spring/Summer session-- it's an option purely for your convenience. If you would like to, you can sign up as soon as it's available. We are adding some pickup locations and extending pickup times, so you might want to check out all the options here

4. Home delivery IS coming soon. Our pilot program has been a success and we are planning to offer home delivery for the Spring/Summer CSA season. We are still working out all the details so you won't be able to sign up for that yet... but coming very soon!

We are fortunate to be in a community with many other business leaders who want to make positive impacts on our community and the environment. One of those is W&A Engineering, a multidisciplinary engineering firm that is committed to sustainable growth and good corporate citizenship. As part of that commitment, W&A has partnered with Collective Harvest since 2018 to offer employees workplace delivery of fresh, local produce. In doing so, they promote healthy habits for their employees, encourage sustainable farming practices, and contribute to the local economy.

W&A recently moved their office to the historic Southern Mill development off Chase Street. They are holding an open house this Thursday, February 20 from 4-7 pm and YOU are invited! Please join for a tour of their new Earth Craft Certified office and to learn more about this awesome local partner.

Let's gather 'round the table and eat!
