The last week of 2019 Winter CSA is upon us!

Posted on February 13th, 2019 by Lisa Merva

Welcome to the final week of the Winter CSA!

All of us at Collective Harvest sincerely hope you have enjoyed this season of healthy and hearty roots and greens! Winter veggies are not quite as glamorous and celebrated as summer produce like tomatoes and strawberries, but they sure do a body good. It fills my heart to know that 111 CSA members in the greater Athens community have been united by this common bond. We've all brought home bountiful bags and spent hours over the stove stewing, simmering and roasting to feed ourselves, our friends and our families... all the while providing steady income for local family farms who are good stewards of this land. Kinda makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside, doesn't it?

2019 brings some excitement at Collective Harvest! We will have several on-farm events and host a variety of cooking and food preparation classes as well. We are also expanding our offerings to include even more locally produced goodies. The Spring CSA starts April 8th, and we're filling up fast! Be sure to sign up soon if you want a guaranteed spot. If you are trying to figure out where to find local produce during our CSA break, Daily Groceries Co-op on Prince Ave. carries Collective Harvest produce as well as produce from other local farms.

If you get a chance, let us know how we're doing... Do you like our new customized CSA system? Do you have any comments, suggestions, or questions? How can we better fit your lifestyle? Your feedback will help us grow and thrive-- please send me an email or stop by our headquarters to chat.

In gratitude,

Lisa Merva
