Farm Happenings for July 27, 2023

Posted on July 21st, 2023 by Mike Finger

Hi, Friends.  The customization period for next Thursday's (July 27th) harvest is now OPEN and will remain so until 9 a.m. Sunday morning.  If you'd like to change the crop list you currently have, or add other items or quantity, NOW is the time to do so.

The following items are available ONLY to those customizing their shares:  Eggs, Chicken, Fresh Pasta, Raspberries, Blue Berries, Black Berries, and Oyster Mushrooms.

Thank You and Thank You for returning your (folded flat, no rips) share box to your pick up site ~ we really appreciate all the boxes members have returned thus far!

We hope you are enjoying the harvest as we enter the summer season.  Thank You for your membership.

Your farmers,

Mike, Kim, and Crew

This Week's Photo: A showing of the hands of our crew with a bad (or maybe we mean, "good") case of tomato rash, the result of trellising and training tomato vines.  The tomato plants have been growing rampantly, necessitating much trimming and training, and putting our hands into steady contact with the resin rich vines.  It takes a vigorous and thorough washing to eliminate this weird ~ and fragrant ~ copper green stain from the hands. These same hands have just picked the first harvest of slicing tomatoes of the season, available for this week's boxes.
