Farm Happenings for July 20, 2023

Posted on July 14th, 2023 by Mike Finger

Hi, Friends.  The customization period for next Thursday's (July 20th) harvest is now OPEN and will remain so until 9 a.m. Sunday morning.  If you'd like to change the crop list you currently have, or add other items or quantity, NOW is the time to do so.

The following items are available ONLY to those customizing their shares:  Eggs, Chicken, Fresh Pasta, Raspberries, Blue Berries, Black Berries, and Oyster Mushrooms.

Thank You and Thank You for returning your (folded flat, no rips) share box to your pick up site ~ we really appreciate all the boxes members have returned thus far!

We hope you are enjoying the harvest as we enter the summer season.  Thank You for your membership.

Your farmers,

Mike, Kim, and Crew

This Week's Photo: Assistant farmer, Ashley R., breaks in our new Grillo rear tine roto tiller, a robust little machine made in Italy and imported to the USA by EarthWorks tools in Kentucky. Our previous walk behind tiller was purchased (after years of prior use) for $250 and vegetables. It gave us many good, and then many vexing, years of service before finally breaking its mechanical heart a few weeks ago.  Starting this year, we are farming our home ground to a greater extent than in the past, and this compact machine is a good match for the small fields and generally tight quarters we are working with here at home.
