Farm Happenings for June 2, 2021

Posted on May 29th, 2021 by Mike Finger

In the past week we have experienced beautiful if indecisive weather, a bit wet, then really wet, but mostly dry enough that we could still plant and weed: suddenly windy, then oddly windy, causing the high tunnels to swell and bob like demented caterpillars, before splitting open entirely (and there was green inside, the green of young pepper plants.) But Saturday arrived with a bright, warm embrace and we prepare ourselves, tentatively, for a week of sunshine (but, we'll see if that pans out).  The garden is on the verge of busting out with new production, but at least for this week, the green theme continues.  New additions from our farm include Green Onions, Swiss Chard, and Kale.

Thank You for returning your boxes, gently folded flat for our site hosts and done so without tearing or ripping the cardboard (for the farmers, so we can use them another week). You can also arrive for pick up with a bag or basket, and load your box contents into this container, leaving the box for us to reclaim the following week.

You have from now through 9 p.m. Sunday to visit your member page and customize this week's delivery (trading items, adding items, increasing quantity of items). Just click on the link included with this week's harvest list. Please contact us if you need any help with customizing your order for this week.
