Saying Goodbye to Caitlyn

Posted on September 24th, 2022 by Daniel Zimmerli

This week we said goodbye to Caitlyn who's been an integral part of our farm for 3 seasons. Caitlyn started working with us in 2020 with a goal of learning how to farm so that she could one day start her own farm. She was with us through the pandemic, as we built our new pack shed and as we welcomed Addie into our family. Caitlyn is like family to us and it's a bittersweet goodbye as we will miss working with her dearly however we couldn't be more proud of the works shes doing on her cut flower farm: Stone Hearth Farm & Garden.

We will continue to work with Caitlyn to sell her beautiful blooms as an add-on share option for our CSA. Many of you have seen them at your CSA pickup and commented on how beautiful they are. We agree! We'll also continue to see Caitlyn regularly at the Mankato Farmers Market.

Caitlyn has had a lasting impact on our farm and we are so grateful that we were able to have her here for these past few years. We're very much looking forward to how Caitlyn's farm grows and we love that she is a part of our farmer community in the Mankato area.
