Thank You, Thank You!

The first two weeks of the CSA season have been great for us, and we hope that you feel the same way too. It has been nice to meet all of you in person, or catch up with those of you we haven't seen in a while. The crops are cooperating, and with all this much needed rain we just received everything is looking healthy and vibrant. Of course, that means all the weeds were also well watered, so we'll have our work cut out for us in the next week to stay on top of those.

The fruiting crops are really beginning to produce in abundance, so you will begin to see more items like cucumbers and summer squash in your boxes. Tomatoes are around the corner and should be ready in a few weeks. The dry weather has been hard on the strawberries, but they seem to be holding on well and are still cranking out some delicious berries, so you will see those as well if you haven't already.

Just a reminder that we reuse the wax boxes your shares are packed in on a rotating basis. So please make sure to return them, or bring a bag from home to unload your box into when you pick up. We will make sure to segregate the boxes for a few weeks before sanitizing them for reuse. Also, I wanted to remind you that everything in your share can be used raw in a salad. We know that you receive recipe ideas from Harvie on how to use the different items, but they can all be sliced up and eaten with your favorite choice of salad dressing too, that's how we choose to use them. As usual, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out any way you need to and let us know. We sincerely hope you've been enjoying your fresh food up to this point, we're really just getting started.-
