Transitions

Posted on October 14th, 2023 by Danielle Boerson

Our view of the world from the farm sometimes affords us a glance at nature's finest works.  A recent passing storm moved on to the east, and as the sun followed its path towards the western horizon, a magnificent chunk of rainbow appeared in the place where the light struck the water droplets.  The arch of colors gave us pause.  I was stuck by the starkness between the blue sky to the left and dark grey, moisture-laden clouds to the right.  The rainbow only existed in the face of darkness, and only from our particular vantage point.  Very cool!!  When I came back to the spot 10 minutes later, the colors had faded and the clouds were receding further into the eastern horizon.  It was there and then gone, just like the seasons.

Our growing season is in transition with much of the heavy lifting behind us and preparation for winter ahead.  The 2023 CSA season is winding down as well, and it is now time to start thinking about whether or not you plan to join Boerson Farm for another season of CSA in 2024.  The way that it's currently set up, your share will automatically be renewed at the end of the season (Auto-Renew is set for the week of 11/6).  IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO HAVE YOUR SHARE AUTO-RENEWED, you will need to toggle your auto-renew setting to the Off position in your Harvie account (click here for instructions on how to do this).  If you prefer to wait till next year to sign up for a share or need to hold off for any reason, you can definitely rejoin at a later date.  But if you are planning to continue your membership with the farm and like your current share (size, frequency, add-ons) then you don't need to do a thing.  Auto-renew will keep your share the same and will set you up with the same method of payment that you currently use.  This is a great time to ask questions if you have any so don't bet shy!  Email danielle@boersonfarm.com and I will help in any way I can.
