Everyone Love Carrots

We are grateful to have you as a member this season.  In our weekly farm happenings we will keep you up-to-date on important details and stories from the farm. Please take a few minutes to read through these happenings when possible to stay connected.  If you are getting a box every other week you can always log in to read Farm Happenings from the alternate weeks if you're so inclined. 

Are you new to the farm this season or have you forgotten how this whole Harvie customization business works? I'll give you a quick rundown in case you need a reminder on how to customize your upcoming veggie share.  

Every Saturday evening (or every other depending on your share frequency) you will receive an email from the farm telling you what is slotted to be in your box.  At that time you can make changes to your share by clicking the "Swap Items" button in the email. The first thing you'll see on the Customize page is the cut-off date and time for this week's delivery. You can revisit this page to make changes to your box as many times as you wish until the cut-off time. At this point, we begin the harvesting and packing process and can no longer accept changes.  When visiting this page, there will be a list of all the items that are scheduled to be in your box, referred to as "In Your Cart." Each product will have an image, several information fields and a series of actions you can take.  The most common action is to swap items.

Swap: If you would like to exchange an item in your share for another item click the Swap button. A popup will appear with a list of products that are available to substitute for the one you selected. If an item is priced higher than the one it would replace, you will also see a note that it incurs a "swap charge" for the difference. If something you wanted is sold out, do not despair! Available inventory changes frequently as members customize their boxes. Return to this page again before the cut-off time, and if other people have removed the product from their cart, you will be able to add it to yours.  Check out this link for more detail:

A note on how you will be charged through Harvie:

If you paid in full for you share, there will be no payment due the day of delivery.  The only extra cost you may incur is if you order extras that exceed that value of your share.  If you are on the payment plan, then 25% of the overall cost was charged to your card at the time of sign up (or auto renew), 25% is charged the week of your first delivery, and the remaining 50% is distributed across the rest of the deliveries.  This can be confusing for people, so if you are unsure whether or not you are on the payment plan, please do not hesitate to ask!  

And by the way, who doesn't love a sweet, crunchy carrot?  Our winter sown carrots go the distance to deliver the flavor and texture that is synonymous with fresh.  Getting these carrots from seed to table takes a commitment on our end, and we couldn't do it without the support of our amazing CSA members!  We hope you can taste the love.
