In it for Good

Posted on October 23rd, 2021 by Danielle Boerson

To borrow a phrase from my favorite coffee roaster (Peace Coffee!), this farm crew is in it for good.  This past week our Friday crew arrived on the shirt tails of the first frost of the season, and it was abruptly quite chilly.  No one complained though.  We put on extra layers and got to work. Then we made sure to stop and wave to the camera with our favorite veggies so that we could bid adieu to our members.  The 2021 CSA season may be ending, but the people who work together to grow and harvest your food will still be doing the good work of planning, seeding, and tending so that we can bring you another season of vegetables in the year to  come.

BTW, if you are thinking about continuing your membership into next season, you'll have a chance to do that next week when we initiate auto renew.  If you are a current member with a credit card on file you are eligible for auto renew. You will need to log into your account to make sure that auto renew is toggled on.  If you want to make any changes to your current share (size, frequency, location, add-ons, or payment method) you will be reminded to do that during the first week of November.  All changes to your share will need to be made by the end of the 4 day grace period and then your share will automatically renew for next season.  If you would like to join again but prefer to wait, simply make sure auto renew is toggled off.  If you need any help with your account please let me know!

For the moment, your final box of veggies of the season is still ahead us, and there are plenty of options for you choose from this week, including pints and quarts of our raw farm honey!  A special shout goes out to our friend Kelly who keeps the bees and mans the hives.  The honey crop this year is absolutely beautiful, and we are excited to be able to offer it as an extra this week.  Another big thank you goes out to our friends the bees for all their hard work this summer and the sweetness that comes from their labor of love.  And from all of us at Boerson Farm, we'd like to thank YOU for choosing local and organic this season!  Everyone on the crew (including several people not pictured) did their part because they believe in clean food and a healthy environment.  You did your part by supporting our efforts.  Thank you.

Your Farmer,

Danielle
