Hello All!

Thank you to all who came out to the farm yesterday.  It was a nice afternoon!  The weather was beautiful!

We still have a lot of crops in the field to put in your boxes.  We added 15 pigs to our farm last Thursday- they are cute and very active! The next chickens are butchered at the beginning of next month, so if you are on the Farm Stand email list, be on the lookout for more chicken over the winter months- as well as new inventory of beef and pork!

We are looking for several families or folks to buy a quarter or half beef!  Would you be interested?  85lbs of beef for a quarter, deposit of $200, roughly $850-900 total. You work with us to customize the cuts, we deliver.  Email us if you are interested! blackbrook.farm.llc@gmail.com

It continues to be quite dry and oddly, we are irrigating everyday still!  But it is worth as even though it is still late, since we still have greens and such that can benefit from consistant watering.

Here is what you may find in your box this week:

Sweet Potatoes- yummm! These are a treat- we haven;t given sweet potatoes in a few years.  The yields were pretty good, despite drought like conditions.  You will get about 1.25lbs
