We're hanging at the farmer's market!

Posted on July 19th, 2022 by Carly Richardson

Hope you have been having a lovely, summery July!

Things are full steam on the farm - and we're putting in long hours planting, weeding and harvesting like crazy. The zucchinis are going nuts, herbs and greens are coming steadily along, carrots are at a consistent harvest, and our first few tomatoes and eggplants are ripening (you will see them in shares soon!)

This week we also started selling veggies and flowers at the Langley Community Farmer's Market! It was a blast and we really enjoyed hanging out with other farmers, listening to the music, talking about farming with customers, and sharing our veggies in the community. We even got to meet one of our CSA members in person which was sweet! We are really looking forward to more chances to connect with our customers and sharing about our veggies! That's one of the most exciting and rewarding parts of farming!

The farmer's market is on Wednesday nights from 3-7pm at the Derek Double Day Arboretum (21559 Fraser Highway, Langley). It is hosted is in a lovely park and each week there is different live musician playing. It's a great place to come hang out and spend a Wednesday evening. The market hosts other farmers and vendors who are selling local flowers, mushrooms, berries, microgreens, wine, beer, bread, Stapleton sausage, jerky, food and other sweet crafts!

We plan to be there for the rest of the summer so feel free to pop by and see us!

We hope you enjoy cooking with and eating the summer abundance in this weeks shares!

Cheers,

Farmer Carly
