Job Description
The Sourcing Manager drives our independent food economy by nurturing relationships with producers and leading a high-performing buying team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the buying team; create a high-productivity, low-friction environment.
- Develop and hit clear KPIs (ie margins, in-stock rate, shrink, etc.).
- Own SKU setup and lifecycle in Harvie store, coordinating promos and new-item launches
- Generates and implements efficient sourcing and category management strategies
- Build and execute sourcing & category strategies that balance profit and member delight.
- Scout and onboard new suppliers/products that fit our assortment guidelines
- Review suppliers regularly and cut ties when quality, pricing, or values slip
- Analyze landed costs and set retail prices within our margin targets
- Develops and maintains strong working relationships with suppliers
- Assesses the need for new team members, engages in the hiring process, and develops and maintains an effective training plan
Requirements:
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and give clear direction
- Advanced ability to communicate, collaborate, and negotiate
- Fluent with technology, comfortable stitching systems together
Important Details
- Compensation: $72,387 – $85,120
- Benefits: Health, vision, dental, 401(k) with match, paid time off, and 50% off your own Harvie box.
