Farm Happenings for November 28, 2023

Posted on November 24th, 2023 by John Zilnicki

I hope you had an amazing Thanksgiving this year.  Ours was a little quieter than normal with a newborn, and some stomach bug working its way around, but we made the best of it and defiantly ate to much.  This is the last week of regular season CSA!  We will be taking 2 weeks or so off from CSA, then ramping up our winter CSA.  You will be seeing some emails coming out about auto-renew for the winter from the Harvie support team who handles the back end computer work.

For us, the winter CSA is more important than the summer CSA.  This is because as the fields shut down, most people have to become reliant on grocery stores for their food and as the weather gets colder, the distance from where it was made/produced increases drastically.  Our winter CSA will have local greenhouse grown lettuce, our beef, bread, dairy, and more to come.

You make our farming season possible and can not thank you enough for being part of our extended family!

Your grateful farmer,

John
