Halfway through July already, how is this possible. Mother nature has granted us with some much needed rains this week. We watched many storms avoid us, but she finally came through, twice. Our fields, pastures, and backs appreciate it greatly. However, it does make harvesting the 20 acres of rye we have a wee bit difficult now.
If anyone wants to get a real farm boy workout this week please let me know. We will be cutting the rye at some point and then need to pick up couple thousand bales of straw. No membership to Planet Fitness needed here.
