Thank our lucky stars we picked up a glorious afternoon rain shower today! Yes, the strawberry farmers don't want downpours, but us vegetable farmers were ecstatic with mother natures gift! Lightning did strike about 500ft away from us when we were in our barn watching the rain end, which scared the boogey man out of us.
We had an amazing double baptism this past Sunday and it was truly special to have family and friends over.
This week we will have a limited amount of pork from a local pig farmer, which we are excited about. They are Niegocki farms from Mount Sinai, NY.
I hope you check out the strawberry festival out in Mattituck this weekend. Its a fun festival (expensive if you have kids!) but still fun! Also, this will probably be the last week of berries so take advantage of them!
