Of course we are thrilled to be powering on into September, but we still have watermelon! We cannot guarantee that all the watermelons have been perfect, I do feel most of them have been good. Here at the farm we grew five types, with the most prolific being the Tom Hybrid with most of you have gotten by this point. Next we have a couple long skinny melons, strawberry and Ali Baba. If it’s long and skinny with light skin, it’s Ali Baba, if darker striped skin, strawberry. The other two varieties are a yellow fleshed melon called moon and stars, and a round red fleshed melon that used to be the most common production melon until being replaced by the seedless melons that are in the store now. Any how, its been fun growing them all and I hope you’re enjoying them!
