Farm Happenings for August 26, 2020

Everybody has high hopes and aspirations for their business, Wild Coyote Farm not withstanding. Balancing reinvestment, borrowing, and personal time is a challenge for all of us, and a farm business is definitely no exception. We have been told by many people that we work too much during the summer and that they really wish we could get away to go boating or fishing, or even to a wedding or other party. But simply put, it’s not an option. I think of the summer as a marathon, really we need to put in all that work in the beginning (training), in order to really get a good harvest when the suns shining. Well folks, we are starting to get into that final stretch! I hope your enjoying your journey through the summer with us, and as we enter the last weeks of the summer, we will try our best to keep summer alive for you in the form of fresh produce as we begin to think about enjoying a warm tea in front of the fireplace as we plan for the next season. As farmers, we embrace the seasons, and your boxes will continue to reflect the bounty of the field. Enjoy your watermelon!
