Farm Happenings for June 21, 2023

Posted on June 19th, 2023 by Trent Loewen

Hello from Wandering Shovel Farm!

We had a nice ½” of rain overnight, makes everything look fresh and beautiful! The garden is really starting to produce now, with new crops ready each week. The carrots, baby potatoes, and tomatoes are still a few weeks away, but there’s lots of fresh greens right now.

Can’t make it to our regular Farmer’s Markets in Spiritwood and Leoville? No problem, order here from our online Farm Stand, with delivery to your home or a nearby pick up location.

Here’s what’s all available:

  • Spinach
  • Salad Mix
  • Bok choy
  • Green onions
  • Baby kale
  • Arugula
  • Dill
  • Kale
  • Rainbow chard
  • Cucumbers
  • Green leaf lettuce
  • Red leaf lettuce
  • Pea Shoots
  • Radishes
  • Pastured Eggs
  • Homemade Ranch Dressing

This is a one-time online Farm Stand, available for this week, although we plan to do it weekly through June. Place your order by 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 20, and get it delivered Wednesday or Thursday, depending on the delivery location you choose. To order, simply select the items you want, choose a delivery location, and enter your contact and payment info. Then once we have your order packed you'll get an email confirming the delivery time and location.

This is a great way to get fresh produce, beef, fresh bread, and eggs with the convenience of Home Delivery. Try out the online shopping experience! It works very similar to our Summer Farm Share subscription, if you are interested in that you can get a feel for how it works here. Note: if you are already a member of our 2023 Summer Farm Share, this is a one time Farm Stand that is separate from our regular Farm Shares which start the first week of July.

Enjoy your week!
