Farm Happenings for July 28, 2021

Posted on July 24th, 2021 by Trent Loewen

This Hansa rose always catches my eye as I’m heading up the deck stairs! From its start as a few dry looking sticks this spring, it has grown into a huge bush, full of roses.

Last Thursday night we had quite a storm come through! Although we didn’t get the worst of it, we did get some hail and strong wind. Some of the produce in the field looks a little rough but I think most of it will recover. It always looks bad right after the storm, but with a few days of sun it’s looking better already. There might be a shortage of some items because of it, but we’ll see how it goes.

New this week is potatoes and cabbage! There’s also flower bouquets from our friend Tammie, from whatever she has blooming each week. Tomatoes and cucumbers are available to swap into your box, and of course homemade bread and soap.

Have a great week!
