Welcome to the first share pickup for the 2018 Walker Farm Winter CSA! Thanks for joining and supporting our farm and crew. It's been a difficult autumn with all the rain and record breaking cold but our greenhouse crops are looking good and we've got quite the variety of produce to offer for your shares this year. Specialty shares will be getting the last of our fall greenhouse tomatoes that we picked before the nasty cold last Wednesday night. Benny is away for the first week, but his baker friend will have fresh baguettes for the bread add-ons.
We're excited to see how the new "Harvie" software works out for you and please let us know if you have any suggestions or questions. The Harvie support team has been great in dealing with the concerns and issues that we have had so we're ready to let the computer algorithms do their thing! The goal is to provide you with the veggies you like and to help reduce food waste. We're learning, too, as we go so it will be a first time adventure for everyone!
If you are unable to make your Saturday pick-up between 11 am and 3 pm, please call 254-2051 and let us know. Ideally, rescheduled pick-ups will be around noon on Sunday or Monday. Please check in at the door when you arrive to get your "menu" for the week as everyone will probably have a different list matching their preferences. Oh boy, here we go!
