Farm Happenings for December 9 & 10, 2023

Posted on December 3rd, 2023 by Jack Manix

Howdy folks, thanks for making Week One go so smoothly. We found out who reads the emails and who doesn't but the alternate routers were easily put on the right track and gave us a chuckle! We hope you enjoy your choices and are ready to check out your next week's selections in case you want to do some swapping or add some extras before the Tuesday morning 8 AM shutoff. Each week we'll be varying the menu and adding some different choices. Some of the veggies are in limited supply so it'll be first come, first serve. Some new items on the menu this week include celery, frozen Walker Farm sweet corn, arugula, baby Bok Choi and Autumn Frost winter squash.

Some folks have wondered about the charges on the payment system. If you opted not to pay in full, you probably were charged one quarter of the total as a down payment and recently were charged one half the total as the second payment. The last payment will be in a couple of weeks for the last quarter amount of your share. Sometimes small charges will show up if you went over the weekly share limit by swapping for a more costly item or adding an extra. If you have any questions, please drop us a note and we can check it out on our end.

If you are thinking about a Christmas tree from our Elysian Hills Tree Farm, it would be a good idea to visit and select one before next weekend as we are experiencing unprecedented demand and probably won't have many trees for much longer. Quite the miserable weather this Sunday but temperatures look good for next weekend. Thanks again from our hard working crew!
