Farm Happenings for October 25, 2022

The heavy frost arrived right on schedule.  We harvested every fruit of the warm season crops just before the frost to store in our cooler and distribute over the next couple of weeks.  It's always bittersweet, the arrival of the killing frost.  On the one hand, we have grown tired of harvesting these super long season crops (we've been harvesting peppers since June!!!), but we haven't necessarily grown tired of eating them!  And so our meals will feature the last of these crops over the next couple of weeks before we give way fully to the leafy greens and heavier cooking of fall and winter.  Bon Appetit!
