Farm Happenings for November 24, 2020

Posted on November 19th, 2020 by Shiloh Avery

We have arrived at the final harvest share delivery of 2020!  I truly feel like we made it through this year together.  As we enter into this Thanksgiving holiday, we here at Tumbling Shoals Farm are filled with gratitude for your support this crazy season.  I know this year has been hard on many of us, and continues to be hard. And we recognize how lucky we have been to have had your support and to have been considered an "essential" business, and we are forever grateful.  I remember how fatalistic I was at the beginning of this pandemic.  I said to my father, "Tumbling Shoals Farm might not be a thing at the end of this, but hey, it was a good run.  I mean, how many people can say they ran an organic farm for 13 years?"  But thanks to you, we get to continue farming!  So yeah, we have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

We will be delivering your shares on Tuesday of next week (despite what your email says!).  If you cannot pick up on Tuesday, please let me know as soon as possible so we can make other arrangements.  I have already made some other arrangements with some of you.  We will figure out how to get you your final share!

We are busy planning the 2021 season and expect to be able to open enrollment in the 2021 harvest share sometime in December!  You'll be the first to be invited to join.  If you have specific crops that you would like us to consider, now is the time to let us know!

Once again, huge thanks for your support this season!  We hope to feed you local organic veggies again next season!

Love,

Shiloh, Jason, Mallory, Kelsey, and Hope
