Farm Happenings for September 17, 2020

Posted on September 13th, 2020 by Scott Kosiba

Happy Sunday Tumbleweed Family!

Thanks to all of you who stopped by yesterday to pick up your shares or to just grab a few items. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and we're hoping for as many more lovely days as the Wyoming weather will spare.

We're solidly in Fall in the Rocky Mountain West which means many of our small farmers are beginning to harvest their autumn goodies. This week we're happy to announce the availability of winter squashes and a few varieties of apples that are coming online. We expect to start getting pumpkins and other delicious fall products as we move further into this lovely albeit short season.

Thanks to you all for being flexible this last delivery. The wacky weather that hit our region affected our growers from Utah to Colorado with some combination of high winds, heavy rain, or snow so some of the items that we expected to have available were laid low by the weather. We should be in good shape now!

Just a reminder, the Thursday markets are sadly over so you can pick up shares on Saturday 9-12 at the vacant lot next to Two Rivers Fishing Co. We'll be bringing the big, yellow produce bus with us so you won't be able to miss us! Again, if you'd like to switch over from pickups to home deliveries feel free to let me know and we'll be happy to accommodate you!

From our Tumbleweed team to your family,

Scott, Madeline and the rest of the crew
