Farm Happenings for July 14, 2020

Posted on July 11th, 2020 by Ryan Thompson

Hello everyone,

it’s been a very busy first few weeks of our CSA season.

The Harvie system is new to all of us, and so I’d like to thank you all for your patience and understanding as we’ve worked on figuring out how it all works.

We have had a few questions that I would like to touch base on.

Flower shares will be starting the week of July 21st. The flower shares are currently full, but if we have extra available, we will post as an add on.

For those of you who have paid in full before the season started should have received a credit to your account. You can use that credit towards extra produce, soaps, jams, and frozen sweet bread when available.

As for the boxes, I know some of you have been concerned. The boxes ARE to be returned when you pick up your next share. If you forget a week, it’s okay just bring back both boxes the following pick up. An easy way to remember is to put it in your car right away after you empty it. We do not reuse the same box necessarily for each family, yes you might get a box someone else had used. But, we are using them on an every three week rotation. The boxes will be sitting long enough to get rid of any COVID as it only lasts on cardboard surfaces up to 72 hours. Please use safety precautions when picking up your share. Keep a 6 foot distance between yourself and others. Wear a mask if you can, and wash your hands (and your produce).
