Pick Your Own This Week:

-Flowers are going strong! Come pick yourself a 24 stem bouquet!

-Herbs: Oregano, Parsley, Chives, Cilantro, Sage, Lavender, are all available this week as well

The Garlic Harvest Has Begun!

Last week we pulled about 20% of the 15,000 bulbs of garlic growing in our fields since last November, when the cloves were planted.

That only leaves 12,000 to go! They need to be cleaned, sorted, and hung to cure.  It takes a lot of hands and it is a great and easy way to get in some volunteer hours.  You can sit in the shade of the Tractor Barn and chat with your fellow members while you peel and sort!  For the Garlic Harvest, volunteers are welcome any day of the week, Monday-Saturday between 9am and 5 pm and we will keep a supply of harvested garlic ready for you to clean.  It's helpful to send an e-mail to thehogfarmllc@gmail.com to give us a heads up you are coming.  Bulbs of Garlic that are lightly damaged and won't cure well, but which are perfectly good for eating, will go out in this weeks shares! Yum!
