Fingerling Potatoes, Celery + Peppers

We've been absolutely loving pepper season on the farm.  This will be the last week we have enough to put full pounds in boxes, so get them while you can!  We'll still have peppers in future weeks, but they are just passing their peak this week, and ripening will slow as the fall weather moves in.  

We also have the first of our special farm celery available this week.  We give this celery a lot of love and a coveted greenhouse bed to grow in all summer so that we can have celery for our CSA members.  Farm fresh celery is extra flavorful, and comes with leaves that are great to cook into soups as well.  We love to use it as a soup starter (mirepoix is the key to good soup IMO) and in stir fries.

Even more exciting, we are harvesting the first of our pink fingerlings this year.  We weren't thrilled with the variety we tried last year, and so far we are stunned by these Amarosas.  They're dark magenta on the outside, and have a pink burst on the inside as well.  They're gorgeous for roasting or grilling.
