LAST SHARE of the season

Posted on October 17th, 2022 by Ashley Thompson

Wow, we've made it to week #22 of our Summer CSA program, the final week of the season.  It's hard to believe that it's over this year with this gorgeous fall weather we've been having.  But it doesn't have to be the end!  If you're sad to see your share go, we're happy to say our online farmstand will still be open for 2-3 more weeks, for on demand purchasing!  We'll send reminder emails out, but you can also subscribe to farm stand notifications here, which you can turn off anytime.

Also, mark your Calendars for Central Oregon Fill Your Pantry market, November 12th from 11-3 at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds.  I'd also recommend marking your calendar for October 23rd, the day that preorders open, as some items sell out fast and this is a great way to beat the lines and make sure you have what you want reserved.  We'll be there alongside many other local farms, offering food to fill your fall and winter.

For boxes this week, wow, I can't believe the bounty!

I think this is the first year ever that we've had STRAWBERRIES for the last box.  Usually they've frozen by now, but they're still trickling in.  We've got all the greens you love, Spaghetti Squash, lots of roots including watermelon radishes for a pop of flavor and color; and the last of our red Beets (which have been lacking in quantity this fall due to late heat that hurt our crop, but we saved these for you!), and the last of our Poblanos and Green Peppers.

We've even got a couple optional bulk items available to stock you up: 1lb quantities of softneck garlic (stores all winter in a paper bag) and 5lb bags of carrots.

We thank you so much for joining us for our 4th season at Sungrounded Farm.  We'll be in touch, and hope to see you around (and feed you next season!)

Your Farmers,

Ashley, Caleb and the Sungrounded Crew
