Farm Happenings for July 13, 2022

Posted on July 10th, 2022 by Peter Seely

Green beans developing!

This week's offerings: We have the first cauliflower, and cabbage (both red and green!).  We also will be sending out some green curly kale as well! A few scapes left; this will be the last of them!  Some summer squash now ready too!

Coming soon: In addition to the green beans, we are getting closer to having some cherry tomatoes ready.  Onions are developing, so soon we will have them for you as well, to take a break from the scallions. We will send out beets again next week.  Regular garlic bulbs are about 3 weeks away from harvesting and drying!

On the farm:  We stay busy, always planting, weeding, irrigating, harvesting, etc.  Most crops doing okay, though the spring broccoli got too hot, and bolted (went to seed prematurely), so we'll have to wait for later plantings to have broccoli!  Tomatoes are looking good, and we have many kinds to share with you!  Many thanks to all the worker shares who have come forward to help us out with whatever needs doing!

Have a good week,

Peter & Bernadette
