Farm Happenings for October 21, 2020

This week's offerings:  Spinach (for all who want it), along with perhaps the last of the tomatoes, in this week's boxes. Should be cilantro, potatoes, acorn squash, chinese cabbage, and onions as well, along with lesser quantities of the daikon radishes, brussels sprouts, arugula, and IPM apples from Brightonwoods Orchard.  (A mixture of Empire, Melrose, Jonathan and Ida Red.) If you would rather not receive the apples (since they are not organically grown, or whatever reason), do switch them out during the swap period, or let us know if that would be a problem.

Organic frozen blueberries, as usual:  Available for purchase to be delivered with the last November share on November 11th.  From Pleasant Hill Farm in Michigan, they would be available in either 5 lbs., or 30 lbs. Details to order coming soon!  We wait to deliver them in November to make sure they don't thaw too much while at your pick-up site!

CBD oil, cream, (and dog biscuits!):  Our own CBD oil, and related products, will be available for direct purchase through our hemp page at our website.  During our delivery season, we will include your orders in your tote, while in the offseason we could ship them out via the postal service. We will also be sending along a little card in your tote with a reminder of that!

Potatoes in! We got the last of the potatoes out of the ground at the end of last week -- hooray! -- and winter squash as well -- so now just a bunch of sweet potatoes, carrots and beets, leeks, brussels sprouts, spinach, salad mix, etc., etc. still to be harvested.

Have a good week!
