Farm Happenings for April 22, 2020

The spring greens are up! The first of the kale and collards are coming your way next week! Last fall we started doing a lot more interplanting and it worked out great! We had put turnips and radishes around our cauliflower and broccoli and found that we were able to increase yield per square foot, avoid using plastic mulch, and minimize weeding! You can see in the picture we are now trying it with our tomatoes and salad greens. In the picture: Cherry and san marzano tomatoes planted with lettuces and spinach.
