Week 12

Posted on August 1st, 2020 by Lynne Schultz

Greeting the farms,

This week we have a few new things to choose from for your basket. We do have bicolor sweet corn and watermelon. We do have both seeded and seedless. If you got a fruit share you will be getting a watermlon in your basket.

We did get the first planting for fall planted this week. We planted  a bunch of root crops which included items like turnips, carrots, beets, rutabaga. We also planted salsify and parsnips. We are hoping they come up but we never seem to get a good germination on them so fingers crossed. Also we be planting another and last crop of summer squash, Zucchini, and cucumbers. We will be planting more green beans and peas for the fall. If you are liking our summer CSA we will be offering a fall/winter CSA  please be on the look out for email with more information on it.

We hope we have a great and safe week,

The Schultz
