Late Summer/Fall CSA Week #1

Posted on August 11th, 2020 by Cale Sprister

Summer is slowly fading in the rear view mirror.....

However we are at the beginning of a new season so to speak.

Welcome to the Late Summer/Fall CSA!

My goal is to keep you all "in the veg" until mid to late October.

That is often times a challenge, especially with weather in the late part of the season.  Be patient...you are learning to eat seasonally.

Most of the current crops are going strong and I am planting every week for the fall crops.

Last night after work I seeded trays of Bok choi, Kohlrabi, and Broccoli Raab.

I'll be putting in beds of spinach, mesculin mix, and other mixed greens along with some beet successions hopefully this weekend.

I just wish the heat was dial down a few notches!  It is really hard to plant and get good germination and transplant success with hot temps.

I am looking forward to a great next 10 weeks!

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions.

Thanks for the support!
