We got rain! When we checked the rain gauge on holiday Monday it read 70 mm. We can breathe a sign of relief and give our irrigation system a break. The fields are muddy but the veggies are happy.

Vegetable storage tip of the week:
Don't forget to remove the tops from your beets and carrots before putting them in your fridge. If you don't, the roots will get soft because the leaves will draw moisture out of them.

New this week:
Pasture-raised eggs from Landman Gardens, in Grand Valley. Their hens live the best life. Their movable chicken coops are moved to fresh pasture every day so they can forage on fresh grass.
