Week Fifteen Milestone

Posted on April 26th, 2021 by Annie Moore

This is the first week we're not doing any greenhouse seeding. All the summer crops are in the ground or will be soon. We're gradually planting out the contents of the greenhouse - still a few secessions of hot peppers, cukes and squash, and a few other items that will be the last things we harvest before our summer break. There are five weeks left in the currently scheduled spring share. We expect to have more veggies for you in June, but we're not 100% sure what the format will look like. More on that soon!

This week, with Compostella greens out and our West bank crops feeling the strain of a tough growing season (God bless Kentucky St, our most resilient growing space), we're supplementing with spinach and (large!) cabbages from Indian Springs, a Black farmers co-operative in Mississippi. The exciting news in the extras section is the return of Strawberry Blood Orange Jamboree Jams. Yum!
