Fields of Greens

Posted on October 12th, 2020 by Annie Moore

Hi folks,

We are very grateful that our fields are still full of greens and not soggy puddles. Hoping this was the last hurricane threat for the season, but we shall see what else 2020 has in store.

We're excited that the season is turning and bringing more bounty with it. This week's share is looking pretty sharp: more greens and lettuces, basil, radishes and turnips, napa cabbage, and more. Plus the usual LCF eggs, Mycelium mushrooms, VEGGI tofu, and drumroll: Our super special, sweet and spicy HOT SAUCES! Honey Hot and Caribbean Mango Curry are more like spicy sauces - loaded with flavor and a little fruity and of course, pretty darn hot. We also added a couple more traditional salty/vinegary hot sauces with the Serrano and Scotch Bonnet options.

Also - please tell anyone you know who loves local, fresh veggies: we're reopened our Tuesday and Saturday shares. Folks should sign up soon!

Thanks for being part of this! Enjoy the bounty!
