Spreading the Love

Posted on May 16th, 2020 by Annie Moore

Hi all,

This week, we enthusiastically welcomed rain and cautiously welcomed the re-opening of the city. We're hoping to see our neighborhoods' beloved businesses survive while we all stay healthy. At our farm, we've been lucky to keep chugging along, and chose to donate a portion of last week's sales to the food relief program organized by Cattail Cooks. We are so grateful to our customers and community members for your continued support, and hope that everyone is thinking of other ways to support your local businesses, mutual aid efforts, and neighbors in need.

We've also been able to use this platform as a way of supporting other farmers in our network. Compostella Farm has been contributing organic salad greens and other beautiful veggies to our farm share since the pandemic began. This week, we're very excited to add new potatoes from Poché Family Farm and hot peppers from Too Tall Farm in our offerings. We've got lots of other summery crops from our fields as well, including some fairytale eggplants, pickling cucumbers, and lots of squash.

Have a safe and healthy weekend everyone,

Annie and Cheryl
