The early tomato crop is almost ready to plant! Another 10 day or so and they'll head to the high tunnels where we can protect them from those late winter/early spring cold snaps which we know will come! We are on high alert these days looking for brief windows of opportunity to open up for plowing in the outdoor fields. The fields have to be dry enough so that we don't mess up the soil structure and that's tough this time of year. If you plow too wet the soil will get chunky and bad for planting in.
