Farm Happenings for January 30th Week

Posted on January 26th, 2023 by Mitch Lawson

The tomatoes are started!  We have 2,800 seeds planted and thinking happy thoughts on the heat mats in our nursery house.  We have to be patient though.  It'll be late May to early June before they are ready.

Everything grows SO SLOW this time of year!  We are getting some kale from North Carolina farms this week so we can let ours take a break and hopefully size up a bit.

NEW item!  GA Extra Virgin Olive Oil!  Give it a try!

We have lots of fun offerings this week with new citrus and several varieties of organic apples.  There are no marketable organic apples grown in the Southeast that I know of (and I have looked hard), so these come from Washington state.  We decided last year to do that with apples so you can have an organic option.

Enjoy the harvest!
