A new decade of organic crops and more starts January 11, 2020!

Dear Farm Share members,

It's a new decade and we are ready to bring back the farm share program for 2020!  Thanks for joining and we hope you enjoy it to the fullest.  There is a lot in store for the season both in the seasonal boxes and in the Farm Stand where you can add on extras.

We'd like to thank you for signing up and our wonderful pick-up location hosts Leatherback Brewing Co. and Little LaGrange Farm at the Lawaetz Museum. Please show your support for our hosts by checking out what else they have to offer for your Community Supported Agriculture experience. Note that if you purchased the growler beer refills at the Leatherback location, the glass or insulated growler options are sold separately and you can bring it back every time for your refills when you pick up.  Also, please bring reusable bags or a cooler to unload your produce box items so that we can re-use the boxes and further reduce waste.

We are kicking off the season with a wide range of organic crop options from vegetables to greens, herbs, and selected fruits. As the season progresses, these items while gradually phase out and be replaced with other incoming organic crops.  For example, we are starting off with cucumbers this week, and in a few weeks they will be over until the next round and tomatoes will enter. You can also use the "swap" feature in the email we send each week to change your box contents as you please.  This way you can keep it interesting in your kitchen. And make sure to check out the recipes and crop info available in the crop listings and on our farm webpage available here.

Finally, if you elected to pay outside of the Harvie system and have not done so yet, please take care of that before picking up.  You can email us at csa@ridge2reef.org for options or send via Paypal to "r2rfarm@gmail.com".  Kindly note that our pick up hosts are not set up to take payments.

So, here we go! The team has put a lot of work and love into the crops. This week there are carrots, pumpkins, cucumbers, zuchinnis, kale, turnips, radishes, bock choy, mustards, culantro, cilantro, carambola, and a lot more.  We wish you happy eating and sharing of our organic crops and the other items available from our partner egg farm and brewery.  If you have questions on anything including use of the Harvie system, don't hesitate to reach out as we want you to have an amazing Farm Share experience!

Happy new year,

Nate & farm crew
