Abundance

Posted on June 15th, 2021 by Elizabeth Gallo

Happy Tuesday! (I had to think about that one for a second because my brain was jumping the gun and telling me it was Wednesday...)

Ask anyone on the crew and they'll tell you the theme of this week has been abundance. The rains we have been getting the past few weeks made some of our crops explode in production, so much so we've had to get creative with ways to keep everything cold i.e. lots of coolers with ice packs. This week we changed the base quantity of certain items such as peppers from 1/2 lb to 1 lb and mangoes from 1lb to 2 lb. So that means if you select either of these items you will be getting double the amount you normally receive. Wahoo!

In other news, we have a greater selection of fruits this week than normal. I listed a few half pints of Suriname cherries, some passionfruit, a few pounds of starfruit and some half pound bags of wax apples. So if you have a sweet tooth, this is your week! We also have a good amount of pineapples available in various sizes so make sure to snatch those up. Speaking of fruit, we just planted a new field of canary melons so cross your fingers and toes that those hold up against the downy mildew and produce beautiful melons in a few months!

We hope everyone has an excellent week and we look forward to seeing you all on Saturday.
